Amber Tamblyn writes in @nytopinion: "What we are wearing is not a statement of fashion. It is a statement of action. It is a direct message of resistance."http://nyti.ms/2qCnT7s

A direct message is to donate and support political candidates on all levels, not just the ones running for president. I hope they’re doing that, otherwise wearing black and writing little messages on their hands is utterly meaningless.

Amber tamblynn, have no idea who you are . What you are wearing is so not important to anyone in the real world. The statement you are trying to make is so absurd I don’t think your sheep even get it.

Yes, changing the color of your gown is a very DIRECT statement of resistance. A dictionary is usually a helpful writing tool.

No, you're a bunch of white women wearing designer black. BFD. Donate your salary to a battered women's shelter or service worker's union. Something that might actually, you know, matter.

Most of those women wearing black last night knew what was going on and did NOTHING. Now they jump on the bandwagon as if they were victims too.

wearing black designer created fashion is hardly a statement, try going with off the rack jeans and costume jewelry, actually wearing white, a color of openness and light would have been better

Just so long as the Hollywood A-Listers maintain their cannibal crusade, it will all be worth it. Would the last flog leaving fantasy land please turn out the lights and shut the door.

Statement of action? Hardly. No one buys that. The only statement you could make would be to boycott. Which most viewers will do anyway.

At least this isn't another example of a self absorbed narcissistic celebrity overestimating their value in the real world. If celebrities really cared they would of said something when it would of cost them. It's 2 late now.
