Politics is already in movies. Prejudice and injustice has been plaguing the screen for too long. These celebrities are fighting back against issues that involve everyone #ChangeInitiators2018

So is beyond amount level of unnecessary violence and sex. Does that make it ok, suitable, and civilized ? Most people watch tv and movies to escape -NOT hear drama or politics ( which already bombarded everywhere) #truth

Aaaannd showbiz is officially ruined. Ordinary people like me usually watch those red carpet events for a bit of frivolity, distraction, etc. I get enough of politics and current affairs from friends, work, life. 😰

Again, their huge egos make the awards shows about them and not the work. Get rid of the pomp and circumstance, award the behind the scenes ppl, and donate the cost of gowns, hair and makeup, etc to charity.

How sad this becomes more and more a political event....we want to see movies that entertain, inspire and touch...not actors sharing statements. Its just a job.

How brave! So courageous of them to bring activists into a room full of people who already agree with them. So powerful!

Stars should use their influence for change. Equity will only be achieved through actions like this. One more reason I'm excited for the @goldenglobes
