Wouldn't it be cool if smokers were just left to choose for themselves? You know, being adults and all they should probably be trusted to make their own decisions

If they chose to avoid smoking around non smokers and children that would be fine. Many don't.

That's an issue with the shitty behaviour of individual smokers, why punish the large majority who smoke without harming anyone but themselves?

Have to disagree vast majority of smokers care about non smokers. Old enough to remember when you could smoke in the movies theatres and on planes. Even then it was though anti social. Didn't stop them.

Well sir, we can each only speak to our experiences - I live in Australia and smoking is not allowed inside cinemas/restaurants etc, as such I never have issues with second hand smoke (and I'm asthmatic, so this is v much appreciated)

Tobacco and marijuana are both plants that we smoke. Just be consistent. Both should be legal.

How about allowing people to choose to do what they want with their own bodies? Also, chemical-free tobacco isn't exactly the worst thing in the world. Start there first. Nicotine is actually a pretty mild stimulant compared to other substances.

At what point are idiots going to understand that prohibition DOES NOT WORK. All it does is turn otherwise law abiding citizens into criminals and creates an entire criminal enterprise surrounding whatever it is they're trying to ban.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/949603541659906049 …

By far the MOST difficult thing I've ever done, was giving up smoking! The idea that there is ANY positive about tobacco, is in the same mold as anything Trump, is positive! The GREATER the restrictions on EITHER of these poisons, the BETTER in my opinion!
