Ha, i was just filling up my new 2018 paper planner this evening! The best of paper: being able to say "let me check my calendar & get back to you" when asked about something you don't want to do...😁

Love mine. My phone and tablet are great, but I can't doodle in the margins. My planner doesn't send me annoying notifications and I never need to charge it.

Biggest advantage is unmentioned: privacy. Nobody can schedule you but you, & nobody markets you with useless entreaties based on yr entries.

        a) no batteries Ever required. B) hard to actually "delete" w/out obvious effort.

I still use a Filofax, maybe age related as younger people just want everyone done NOW. Writing things down does help us retain information better.

Tried using a virtual planner and always ended up with the paper one. I even carry a journal everywhere, to draw or write ideas and stuff while walking through the city

I never used a paper plan. I remember when I was a student in high school every year I went to use one but in th end I remember things in my head

@thewildwong You should check out the @passion_planner! It kind of incorporates all of the "five functions" as mentioned in your article.

Opted for a paper planner this year-going old school. I will be keeping my phone for certain items; working out the logistics. Interested in seeing if the dots connect with more ease.
