Sounds like a good deal. We stop more illegals from coming in and drugs and in return good people (not criminals) should be able to stay. Sounds like a win.

Our country's biggest drug problem stems from the drugs coming out of our own pharmacies
-
No it stems from our weak law enforcement that doesn't put abusers of prescription drugs and other drugs away instead of a relvoving door in and out of jail. People who really need them can't barely get them anymore.
-
Yeah because locking them up instead of getting them help is the answer. Trump supporters at their finest.
-
Not that i agree with Josh, but i work at a prison&believe me addicts heavy into drugs benefit from being in jail, they sober up,get healthy&help is also available to them while incarcerated. You'd be amazed how much of them are actually in jail because a fam member put them there
-
Family members can’t cope, and that’s a last resort because we lack adequate treatment facilities as a nation.
-
Prison is the last place on earth you'd want to detox. Maybe your prison is different, but the VAST MAJORITY don't have the resources to deal with people suffering with addiction.https://www.npr.org/2013/08/12/211339427/behind-the-new-black-the-real-pipers-prison-story …
-
yea it isn't the most ideal place but nonetheless its a place where they can get sober. i see it all the time. I've seen people go through withdrawals right in front of me. scary part is when they get released and they feel they can go back and use the drug at the lvls they were

"I'll do the morally right thing if you agree to my demands."
-
It is morally right thing to do, but understand concern that if grant amnesty to Dreamers w/out “closing the door,” we’ll be back in same place in 10 yrs asking for amnesty for next generation of Dreamers, so Dems should be open to *some* tightening of border to protect Dreamers

Fix the immigration system so that the wait time for a Mexican here legally doesn't have a 23 year wait to bring his family here, and you'll reduce illegal problem. The majority of security experts agree that a wall is an ineffective tool to fix illegal immigration.
-
1/2 I agree, the wall is just a symbol & very likely would be ineffectual (& huge waste of $), but we need to find common ground GOP & Dems both feel comfortable standing on
... -
2/2...sensible, bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform based on both sides seeing the others’ & being willing to engage w/ the other in good faith & address their concerns.
-
The senators WERE working on common sense bipartisan reform and then he stepped in with non starter demands

$18 billion - how about Trump pay taxes like everyone else and end his weekend/vacations at his properties then we'll see if there's enough for a "wall"
