This is shameful & disgraceful. A country as rich as ours, businesses flourishing. We are letting down the next generation

This problem has long roots, starting w/ taxation rebellion in the '80s. You get what you pay for. You shortchange public education for 1.5 generations this is what you get. Do it slowly, like mass transit funding, so there are no big upheavals. Slow decay into 3rd world status.

Welcome to our world. Old buildings and old boilers. Some days it’s hot and other days it’s cold.

Yeah, I feel for those teachers too. And you know the good teachers are going to flock to schools with better conditions, so these poor kids in unheated schools are left with not the best teachers either (unless you’re VERY devoted to your kids, in which case God bless you)

I can’t imagine why the teaching field has such high turnover. 🤔

It’s the same in my high school and I teach in Salem, MA. Heat apparently is optional. #noonecares #freezingourassesoff #kidsnotapriority

That’s a disgrace, Lori. Is the Salem school committee asleep or just simply negligent?

It’s both. The building and grounds guy that controls the heat and Air in all buildings is a bully and is allowed to get away with it. Sickening. Not enough parents are complaining.
