That stinks. As a woman traveling alone, I prefer not to have anyone coming into my room during my stay. Nothing worse than coming out of a shower to find a person standing there! If the room needs maintenance they should call ahead.

You can lock the door from inside, they will nock and ask you to enter if you are inside

If I'm not inside, I still don't want people going through our room. Hotel safes are fairly useless. If you've ever seen one jam and witnessed the hotel staff open them with a screw driver, you won't trust them for your valuables.

I like to think Disney has better security than Vegas and this is unfair considering hotels are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Why you wanna get a bunch of hard working people into bad situations by opening doors? Are you providing bullet proof vests for them? Insurance?

I was astounded that the gunman in LV was able to stay in his room for days, armed with 20+ guns and no one noticed...not room cleaners, security..no one. This is unacceptable. Cruise lines have stewards enter rooms daily. You can defer a bit, but they keep close watch.

Vegas is the polar opposite of Disney tho. There is no way you’re getting thru the turnstile with 20 guns. And people leave everything in the room cos Disney is basically an all day trek. All your stuff is in the room. They should just have more security versus random invasions

Really stupid. When I travel on business the Do Not Disturb sign is the only thing keeping my belongings from being rummaged through by illegal hotel workers while I'm at a work site. I definitely won't ever be staying at Disney World.

In other words: If you stay at a Disney Hotel you have no guarantee to privacy. Good to know.
