No Hamada Madatoshi isn’t receiving any criticism except from butthurt leftwing liberals in the US who want to be SJW. The Japanese don’t care about it. Waste of time pushing it

They don't care about it because they have no frame a reference, living in a largely homogenous society. I used to live there and even though I'm not black, I found it highly offensive and insensitive.

y'all need to chill down. unless you've haven't lived long enough to see gaki no tsukai's run of skits throughout the batsu games. i don't count it as offensive as there's clearly a citation for the reference on his character.

It is a tribute to Edy Murphy's Film. Mr Hamada had no intention to dispise African people if you look the drama with no prejudice. I d'like Aficans to know Japanese feel African's skin as beautiful, and have a pride in your skin. Every race is beautiful !

He could of still made tribute to the movie without wearing blackface cuz if u look at jus his head u would have no idea wat he wuz supposed to b but his clothes make all sense

It's western whites who made blackface discriminatory against Africans cuz they abducted & made Africans slaves. Many Japs love dark skin color & have good feelings on dark skin. You westerners still disguise yellowface and mock us as Fukushima or hentai. Every skin is beautiful

Dont you think yellow, black,.white all are beautiful? Peoples of every color and face should have a pride in themselves. Who think backface is discriminatory, he or she could be a racist withiout consciousness. Sorry for long sentence cuz im not good in English.

I luv being black an was raised to b so which is why when I see my blackness b used as a punchline disturbs me, u don’t have to paint your skin to appreciate black people because if u really loved us u would try to understand us instead of being defensive an making excuses

I understand what you felt to see that comedy. I wanted to say they dont mock black people in the program. I just want to say you can mock white skin or yellow skin in Japan, as long as you have a certain respect to other people. Too much PC make us suffocated as in USA.

I’ve actually seen ma-Chan dress up as an “African” tribesman, bone in nose in all so yes they do, but how can u mock an respect at the same time? That’s a contradiction, an being sensitive to others isn’t a bad thing, u just don’t want to feel guilty fo doin sumthin wrong
