Yep. Ours is awful. Why, I had to wait a full 3 hours to start prepping for my cataract surgery here in the US. The NHS requires only a 15 month wait for the same procedure.

As an American.. and just being completely honest, I'd rather wait 10 hrs for actual care than going to an E.R here and getting immediate "care" while being told they don't know what's going on and to follow up with a primary doctor ..which I can't afford. Hence why I went to ER

This is what happens when a conservative government deliberately underfunds it.

Yes, this is due to years of deliberate sabotage through underfunding by our government.

*Caused by overcrowding. Nope. Caused by design. The tories have done everything in their power to undermine it so they can abolish and replace it with a private system, where you buy insurance. Which will abuse their position, and add billions of pounds to health care costs.

The same people who disbelieve Climate Change because it's cold outside in January, are now lining up to declare a headline and a teaser on Twitter as being the whole story on British National Healthcare.

Apart from the fact it's a much better system that doesn't lead to bankruptcy for a simple operation. But sure, keep supporting unchecked capitalistic nonsense and price fixing by insurance companies.

Just for reference, the NHS bed count has been deliberately reduced over they past seven years. Germany, with a population around the same size, has three times the number of beds.

Not surprising... just like usa train, metro, bridge, roads, electricity network, etc... Like anything which need public fundings. But Americans prefer vote tax cut for the ultra-rich. That is the démocratie, people choose (even against their own interest)
