The division of north and South Korea was the terrible legacy of the war! An example of how a communist socialist dictatorship works vs a capitalistic nation!

The US leveled every city and reduced the population by almost 1/5 with napaln and conventional armaments. MacArthur wasn't alone in calling for the nuclear annihilation of NK, it was seen as a "viable option" by many in gov and millitary. They haven't forgotten.

Ya it’s a war we lost in the long run
-
Not really. Repelled NK to the 48th parallel and then South Korea turned into an economic powerhouse that is high developed with a high standard of living.
-
True I might be thinking of a different war
-
Didn’t unite the peninsula, but
life gives you lemons. -
True but think of it half full I guess
-
Lol plan B was MacArthurs “nuclear bomb China” so I still view it as full.
-
Ya than again China is kinda a crap hole right now so I don’t think a nuke would do too much damage

Could have been another Viet Nam. Not sure if that's good or bad. Just means we never learn our lesson.
