Fiber is great to lower bad cholesterol and to lubricate the intestines so we don't carry around excess poopi

Hot news flash: the mortality rate for all humans is 100%. Dietary fiber does not lower the mortality rate. One may live longer, I suppose, but all of us eventually DIE.

It's normal science talk meaning the mortality rate during the duration of the study was reduced. I think most people are smart enough to understand.

Condescension is unbecoming. That sentence was poorly written, even physicians like me would have corrected that syntax. Christopher don’t asume to whom you are writing. Know your correspondent.

Asume? That's poorly written. As a physician you should be familiar with these terms.

Pardon my misspelling; assume, ok? The sentence was still poorly written; btw, that initial tweet of mine was written with a little humor intended. I guess it isn’t always appreciated. Christopher, thank you for setting the record straight. I mean that. Good night.

No, I'm not saying you should feel bad about spelling it wrong. My point was that we all make mistakes and there's no need to get worked up over them. Go through my comments and you'll find lots of mistakes. I was merely saying that's how the term is regularly used. Good night.
