        The bodies should be left there. Climbers know the risks; it’s not worth it to risk more lives to bring a corpse down - families need to learn this.

        I don’t think it’s selfish. People take risks every day. Climbers understand (or should) that 1 in 10 on Everest and 1 in 4 on K2 do not return. What’s selfish is making people risk their own lives for a corpse.

        AMAZING story. I watch 1 Mt.Everest story she guy died on mount but spoke to pregnant wife by satellite phone & named baby. I wish ppl wud stay off top summit..& the $ spent to retrieve body.. SAD.
