Glad they came out and said this. I guarantee they aren't the only one.

This isn’t limited to VA hospitals. A ‘prestigious’ Chicago teaching hospital’s oncology unit had a similar change in policy to improve their numbers. Disgusting.

Wow that is terrible. my dad is retired military and the way the VA treated him and other veterans made me sick so we had to get him another insurance. Luckily now he has everything he needs now thank god

We can't get a cardiac appt after my husbands heart attack. They checked him a couple of times now almost 3 yrs later they refuse. He must be symptomatic or actually had another HA to be seen at our VA.

These days, I find I have less patience with people who say "less patients" instead of "fewer patients."

SMH Gaming systems to look good on paper while failing at the mission is not ethical. It happens in too many fields.

Patients would do good to recognize that they are just a number when it comes to hospitals, and that if you really want to save your "number" (life) you better begin researching, and advocating for yourself TODAY!!!!

We have become a culture that literally lives, dies, succeeds, fails, buys by ratings. People are summed up by their credit score. Nurses that handle pain meds can be rated by person requested the pain med. Give med as patient wants score high withold patient scores nurse low.

I went to my nearest VA Clinic with head and chest congestion and fever. I was told I wasn't "sick" enough for treatment.
