The swatter is to blame. The trigger-happy cop is to blame. They should both be prison. Happy?

I might add: while we still need to tackle police brutality, this incident warrants an additional conversation about swatting. There was a bill that was going to be introduced to the Senate but didn't end up going through that was going to make swatting a felony.

Ultimately, the person who pulled the trigger. The prankster should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. But that doesn't absolve LEO who shot an unarmed man cause "he thought he was reaching" "I feared for my life?" Really? That's the job. This happens too often

Um..... If all it takes is one fake call to the police to get someone killed, THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE POLICE. The swatter is a douchebag. The police are responsible.

Definitely couldn't be the guy who pulled the trigger at the first guy he saw...in a supposed HOSTAGE SITUATION. Another killer cop that will get off because people will spin it in his favor.

The idiots who called it in for a start. It was a reasonably foreseeable outcome and as such qualifies as criminally negligent homicide.

When an unarmed man dies for opening the door when the police show up inexplicably... the answer is the police.

Said this in another tweet: Just more proof our cops are not properly trained to handle situations. Average training is 13 weeks long. Canada is 26. Europe has longer training and tends to give their cops psychology degrees so they can understand people's mindset.
