The FBI's Russia investigation didn't start, as Trump and others have alleged, with a dossier compiled by a former British spy. Instead, it was firsthand information from one of America’s closest intelligence allies.http://nyti.ms/2EiQp0I

Question..if Intel knew in 16 that not only was Russia interfering but that a campaign was definitely involved, why was the election allowed to proceed knowing that the legitimacy of the results could be in jeopardy? Is there not mechanism to halt an election in this circumstance

Probably because the info at the foundation of this article is misleading if not some sort of Monday morning quarterbacking

Let's assume you are right STILL there is now a mass of info that has turned this from a 'could have interfered' into a 'totally interfered'. Setting partisanship aside, why wasn't a foreign power interfering enough to halt the election? At least until Americans could be warned?

Because every world power interferes with elections, always have, always will. We do it. They do it. Obama just lied about it and Dems believed him.https://www.globalresearch.ca/us-meddling-in-1996-russian-elections-in-support-of-boris-yeltsin/5568288 …

ah, "two wrongs make a right" so you say we can't care that trump is a treasonous inept pos, because "everybody does it" how about we do care, we're enraged, and we're going to #ImpeachTrump over his betrayal of this country

Your outrage is because she lost. You would be silent (if not complicit) if she had won. Where has your outrage been for the last generation? Hidden in the same place the Obama Administration kept it? How did Trotsky put it? The ends justify the means?

Well one thing we can all come together on in the spirit of bi partisanship, If NYT has it right, there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to not release the FISA warrant pretext to congress. Glad we could come together on that.
