Murder by proxy. The cop. Not guilty. The person who called in the fake incident guilty of multiple crimes to include murder.

The cop should face negligent manslaughter at the very least. Someone innocent is dead, if professional police work was done. He wouldn't be.

This is homicide by cop. Hope they get whoever made the call. Also, cops need to be better trained to chill for a split second.

Let me guess... some officer confronted a confused victim and was in fear for his/her life. SWAT teams are generally a bad idea. Regular policing, where a smart cop talks to suspects is a lost art. Pity.

Not at all, it’s an honest question. People shouldn’t be able to “dial-an-execution” by calling the police on each other.

Prank or not, this is yet another incident of incompetent and overzealous police work. This is not an isolated incident. SWAT “killings” happen far too often.

“Prank”?! They were responding to a false, malicious report of an active hostage situation with an armed gunman.

That'a form of murder by the prankster. I hope there is a prosecution and a strong message sent.
