Given that denial, poor self reflection & self interest stops most men acknowledging #sexuallyhararrassingbehaviours this figure surprises me. I thought it would be 1 in about 40.

Way to prove Trump right about your journalism skills NYT by running goofy stories like this with BS stats that no social scientist would lend credence to.

Thats because some wouldn't admit it. Its usually more than one once they feel like they wont get disciplined. Its too pervasive to be just 4 out of 100.

I'd like to broaden the survey to include non-sexual harassment. I have a colleague who continues to make unfunny non-sexual jokes and doesn't seem to realize I never respond, and I think that psychology is at play even with sexual harassment.

As long ad you continue asking the question in the context of men harassing women, expect no progress. Ask how many people felt harassed or else, regardless of sex or gender (or whatever other label people use these days) and then report back. War on men is getting old.

And while you’re at it, ask about how many people use sex, attraction, flirt and else to advance their career. Sleeping up is fairly common but tell us who uses these tactics most. And while we’re at it, why don’t we ask folks to out coworkers with whom they had an affair.

#himtoo is the companion to #metoo so we allow all people regardless of gender or sex, to share their stories. I’m sure there are more than few men who had some similar experiences/stories to tell. Now that’s a first step at rebalancing the conversation. #himtoo

I am in a mixed race relationship for over 30 years. We have experienced a lot of racist comment that could make it seem MOST people were blatant racists. However, despite that perspective, I'd say that for every time this happens we meet HUNDREDS of people where it does not.
