I remember when I was diagnosed at 19, the doctor telling me first, and then bringing in my mother and telling her. She took it much harder than me...one of my most heartbreaking memories. Afterward, she jumped into action. I’m 42 now.

I am so happy for you to have beaten it. As a mom who shared that pain (my daughter was diagnosed at 18), it still feels like yesterday. She is now 28 and healthy!

My daughter was diagnosed with tracheal cancer at age 18. TRULY the worst day of my life.
-
How is she now miss ? I hope she is ok ?
-
Thank you so much!! She is all better. Radiation but no chemo. It had not metastasized.

God is great
Say her that you're a true warrior

In Santa Cruz County we have a small but effective not for profit called Jacobs Heart. They see children with cancer as a family issue and provide support to the whole family . It is a way to live thru the experience, be supported and find joy despite the challenge. Stanford Hosp

I can't imagine my daughters but I know as parent, I'll fight for them to end. I lost my brother recently, who was the best example of clean living and a physician, to cancer. If our mother was still alive, it'd have broken her, but not without going homeopathic on him. My best.

It’s tough. You never think it’s going to be your child. In the States it’s even tougher than here. In Holland we don’t have to have money or sell our house to get cured. To all the superheroes and parents that also have a child with cancer around the globe: hang in there!!!
-
We spent most of our saving for our child medication, but unfortunately he passed a way three years later. We were shocked tow times..the firs when were told that he had the diseas then his death. After 20 years we still can not forget him and the pain he sufferd.
-
How sad!!! He will never be forgotten and although my child has cancer too, I can’t imagine your pain. I can only wish you and your loved ones all the best

It is 35years since we heard the dreadful diagnosis and although our daughter survived we still remember how it felt.

The occasional walk to the kitchen...it has changed our family forever. My husband and I keep trying everything and nothing works. Anyone with a child with cancer would be willing to have it vs them. We will never give up!!!!

I conquered Non-Hodgkins lymphoma when I was 12. My mother, the absolute strongest woman I have ever known, told me that together we were going to kicks its ass. It is because of her (and the wonderful Dr. Susan Shurin) that I did, indeed, kick its ass.
