Power prices fell below zero in Germany over the weekend. Yes, that means consumers were actually paid to use power.http://nyti.ms/2C0vdza

#CronyCapitalism is biggest obstacle to US implementing #GreenEnergy. #Koch brothers spend millions to preserve #fossilfuels & politicians like @RepRWilliams get campaign $ kickbacks. The system is rigged. We need a new wave of leaders in 2018 to represent our interests. #TX25

That title is misleading. That’s the price on the energy market, and it doesn’t affect consumers.

I love that, it's fantastic, it's subsidized by the gov. but it can work and is working. we need to follow their example. Notice that it is both wind and solar. It's fed to the grid there but can be stored in batteries for when there is neither sun or wind

What tripe. As the article (eventually) states "household energy bills have been rising over all anyway." NYTimes does this constantly. Favorable headline and lede then put the facts 5 paragraphs down. Meh.

It does say "fell... over the weekend". So if you assume this means it fell overall, that's kinda your fault.

Very fake news. Since these wind turbines are producing too much energy that can't be stored or transported to other areas of the country, they're taken off the grid. So the exact opposite of what you described actually happened.

Its not happening in #Nigeria where d amount of power generation & transmission rose to 7000MW & 5222.3MW. If in Germany, high power production leads 2drop in electricity charges. What is wrong in Nigeria @tundefashola @FMPWH where power increase equal electricity fee increase
