I wonder what the ratings will be like.

I’m hoping they will be just as good, Jodie Whittaker is a great actress if you’ve watched Broadchuch. I’m excited to see a new doctor and a new showrunner and the adventures she will go on.
-
I will for sure miss Peter’s Doctor and the change from the angry old man to the kind hearted man he became at the end, willing to try to bring Missy to the good fight. But it’s time for something new and I’m quite interested to see where they go.
-
I think it all went downhill after Nine and Ten, but that’s just me.
-
I liked Ten’s story arcs. Tennant might be my 4th favorite Doctor after Baker, Davidson, and McCoy. 11 was good, Capaldi resonated a bit in the beginning and it was nice to watch his change. I’m just glad we are getting a new show runner. I’m burnt out on Moffat.

I haven't seen much of her, but she seems to be a really good Doctor from the Christmas special.
-
She was in it for a couple of minutes and said 2 words - how on earth can you tell from that???

It does matter because women are so woefully underrepresented in science fiction, also part of Doctor Who is that the Doctor can be anyone.
-
My point is it doesn’t fucking matter if the Doctor is a man or a woman. As long as the season is good. The gender of the Doctor doesn’t decide that. It’s just a thing that it is.
-
For something that doesn't matter you sure are getting upset about it.
-
Because I just know that this is because someone wants to push a narrative “look at us, we’re progressive too, we will cater to everything” Fuck. Let creators create their vision for no their reason than it will be fun. That’s the point of creating.
-
The creators crated someone who could be anyone. Doctor Who could be black. Indian. Hell nothing says the Doctor has to look human even. Also as for creators, yeah women don't get much chance with that either.

Women are so 'powerful' in the current year, they need to take roles that have traditionally been for men. All that power!!
-
Except anyone can be The Doctor, it's part of the show. The first producer to suggest a woman was around in the 60s. It's nothing new as far as the idea.
-
Why not just erase Men from all of our roles to show us how much 'girlpower' there is? Just get to the point already.
-
The Doctor is different in that part of the premise of the character is it can be anyone. Making a woman the Doctor has always been an option. It was something one of the producers first suggested near 50 years ago.
-
You and I are both responding to an article titled "After 12 Men Over 54 Years, ‘Doctor Who’ is a Woman" Get your HEAD out of your A$$
-
Yes we are. You're the one either ignoring or not aware that having the Doctor be a woman has been an option for almost as long as the show has existed. And they've had a male character become female before, The Master became Missy.
