Uber and Lyft cars have slowed traffic in Manhattan to a crawl. One idea to fix it? Charge riders even more.http://nyti.ms/2BWbkJi

This is pure BS there is a global campaign against @Uber right now and its aimed at shutting it down. Why? Because they are offering a cheaper alternative.. That's all and that's why you are seeing this campaign against them which is based on fabricated BS!

It's a global campaign against modern chattel slavery and we should all be proud to participate in the sacred crusade against the anathema to the churche's teaching that is the gig economy - I won't rest till the Uber CEO and board is hung by the bowels in front of their HQ.

The fee is already a variable but the companies should take a hit, too, since they don't have state-inspected cars or drivers with the extra training for a chaufers license... Just the same license a teenager can get.

That’s what people want to pay for. A regular person driving a clean car and treating you respectfully. Rather than a smelly taxi with a rude driver and a rip-off fare.

Was the 6.7mph speed that was pre-Uber not already a problem? Your headline blames ride sharing, but traffic has been a problem in the city since before I was born. At least I can now get a car into Queens from Manhattan if I need one.

Stupidest idea ever heard. how the revenue generared by paying more is gonna solve the congestion problem? Also the who is sure that because of high price, people would avoid taxis & then what about the taxis, just parked somewhere? Also are there no other cars to replace them.

If the trains actually ran properly, people wouldn't have to take Uber's.
