Uber and Lyft cars have slowed traffic in Manhattan to a crawl. One idea a state task force is weighing: charging passengers a per-ride fee.http://nyti.ms/2pDsFB6

If Cuomo and deblasio stopped bullshitting each other and paid attention to the MTA maybe we’d take less Ubers.

The subways and trains don’t work. Perhaps state task force should look into @MTA @lirr @NYGovCuomo @JoeLhota not adding extra fees only to see the money disappear and not be used to fix our dilapidated infrastructure

That won’t relieve congestion. It’s just the State wetting its beak.

A per-ride fee? Isn't that called cab fare?

Traffic is just as bad as it always was. I've noticed no difference whatsoever since Uber and lyft started.

Ridiculous. By that logic, taxis should have been banned long ago.

I guess only taxis should be clogging NYC traffic to a crawl.

Yep! It’s the 15-20% of ride-share cars that are causing traffic for the hordes of single occupant vehicles!

My @lyft actually skipped the traffic by using some magic app and she got me there in 2/3 of the time. So, actually, no.
