Tone deaf again. A woman of color started this particular conversation on Twitter. PLEASE do your diligence and try multi-sourcing the zeitgeist from here on out. You will find more than one creatrix, or, perhaps, the one you once again bypassed.

Wondering why she sat for the damn cover, then? Jessica could have done that...expressing disappointment after the goddamned fact does very little to change the culture much less the conversation in meaningful ways.

If you were so ‘sadden’ about WOC not being involved, then why did you not speak up then? You could not have been that concerned with it because you are clearly on the cover. @jes_chastain

Based on all this twitter vitrol, it's probably better if she didn't say anything at all just like the other women on the cover.

First, you have to get them into the right movies and tv shows in the right roles. The age of black actresses playing strong black or strong funny black women is over. People are living multiculturally and expect more range and variety from black actresses - There’s hardly any.

Was there a motive for such inclusion beyond the color of the skin? Racism always bothered me but I must confess I'm fed up with the race card being played incessantly - the effect is increasingly reversing.

We play the cards that we are dealt. When white people stop dealing the race card, we will stop playing it. #CarryOn
