Donald Trump has often said that "we will be saying Merry Christmas again." But most Americans don't really care, according to a survey.http://nyti.ms/2BJAyKW

Y'all act like christmas has always been religious. Don't act like y'all don't do it for the decorations, sales, & food. I ain't even religious and I know that. Y'all took the Christ out of Christmas when you started celebrating his birthday on the wrong date.

Okay, well if you're not going to reply, I'll just ask. Can someone pinpoint in the Bible where it says Jesus was born on December 25th? I'm curious.

the Church selected December 25 date to appropriate festivities held by the Romans in honor of the Sun god Sol Invictus. This feast was established by Aurelian in 274. December 25 was the date of the winter solstice on the Roman calendar.

Thank you very informative, I believe that to be true since Constantine blended #Chritianity, and Sun worshippers into one to keep peace in his Empire. When we see a religious painting with that gold circle around the head of saints that signifies the sun, not holiness.

Just some theories to explains the star of Bethlehem 😐 and IMHO is not important. If there is a God then he has given us free will. There is no religion without faith. There is no faith without doubts. We must remaining humble whether one is an atheist or a believer. 🤔☮️💙

Can't improve on that, I think it is a positive thing that one day a year almost everyone on earth thoughts are on #Christ at least momenteraly even non believers. There is no one in history that I can think of, of whom I can say the same about. The date is irrelevant.

If atheists celebrate Christmas, it's not a religious holiday. Everybody I know says Merry Christmas.

Then you/they obviously speak about something you/they know very little about. Christ is the reason for the season - no denying it.

Ba-hahaha, Christ? Which One? Christmas is a very pagan tradition that Christians rallied against until the 19th century when immigrants brought their traditions.

The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). I do hope you will experience the real joy of Christmas someday.

You misunderstand. I know what Christmas stands for. And I enjoy Christmas. But the real War on Christmas has nothing to do with saying the words and everything to do with how Wall Street and the faux Christians have corrupted the holiday.
