You can't force people to pay taxes to maintain roads you don't let them use.

Deal with it people. The people with houses on the "normal" traffic route aren't getting any sympathy.

Streets are meant to be used as a network. If you don’t want cars passing by your house, go find a nice cul-de-sac to live on.

Thank you Waze for making traffic planners do their job. If everyone used apps let like these, traffic planners could design and predict traffic.

The one formerly quiet street that runs from one side of our hill, over the top, and to the next side has now become a traffic nightmare during morning and evening rush hours. All due to Waze, which reroutes drivers around traffic and into our neighborhood.

And the people who do pay local taxes in one town aren’t paying it for the towns THEY drive through. That’s how it works.

Like I said if a company causes significant harm it needs to be held accountable. The topic is externalities. IMF discusses externalities net - the best known is pollution.

The company isn’t causing harm by suggesting which public roads people drive on.

It is when it significantly increases traffic, accidents. You own coal plant - pollution from plant in Ohio travels to New Hampshire causing health care costs in NH to increase - governments in NH, etc should be compensated for harm caused from coal plant in Ohio
