The debate over cultural appropriation has roiled the literary world, and even prominent adult novelists have started turning to sensitivity readershttp://nyti.ms/2ppHw1P

Just ridiculous. Can no one use critical thinking anymore? Are we not able to judge for ourselves? But then again, American intelligence does seem to have reached an all-time low...

The Khoisan R bonafide South Africans & they must be given an audience from the highest office of the land. Most of us including MYSELF, is a direct descendant of da Khoi, San & Nama community. It’s not a tribal issue BUT a “Social Justice”’matter. Thanx to DP Ramaphosa 🙏🏿🇿🇦

Censorship regardless of the re-definition is still censorship

Really? Five minutes ago? So Jane Austin didn't exist? Mary Shelly, Zelda Fitzgerald, Maya Angelou, Harper Lee, the three Brontë sisters, etc., etc., didn't exist?

I worry most about those REFUSING to appropriate culture. Placing barriers between cultures and associating culture with genetics is where the left becomes indistinguishable from racist, Trumpist, alt-right dogma.

I remember when artists were told "If you're not offending someone, you're not doing your job." All this sensitivity alertness is going to do is produce boring, bland art. Which probably explains why so much of it today is absolute garbage.

I'd be more inclined to purchase a book if there were a certification that it hadn't been reviewed by "sensitivity readers".
