A study of the brains of 111 NFL players showed 110 had chronic degenerative injuries. "It is no longer debatable," said the pathologist. http://nyti.ms/2D5jvPt  @jstallman, sports editor, identified this piece as one of the year's best articles.

The league didn't admit concussions caused brain damage until Jan 2016 (after my husband's brain autopsy showed near total brain damage w Adv Stage 3 CTE..the result of a 16 yr NFL career as a QB) CTE wrecked my life but through the grace of God I'm finally getting it backpic.twitter.com/jVMJnAV6Hd

This article is a tad misleading. I am no way saying that repeated hits to the head aren’t harmful, but this study was done with athletes showing signs of CTE in life not a blind study of players. Also there is some thoughts that opioid abuse causes CTE as well.

The article isn't misleading, it has a quote from the researcher stating there is some selection bias. State your source on the opioid statement.

Was sharing some with my daughters during the Viking - packer game about this issue. Now, I see this afterward. The evidence keeps mounting. Somehow, I can’t enjoy the Vikings win as much anymore.... 🤔 I don’t think anyone who understands could either...😥
