        Whomever claims immigration is bad for a country should look at Canada. 20% immigrants w/ a roaring, peaceful & growing economy and society.

        Legal, obviously, not that illegal immigrants don't do the jobs Americans won't take, such as working in agricultural fields.

        But there can be unity in diversity. My parents immigrated to Canada from Brazil in 1989 and have contributed greatly to their community.

        Sure. The 13 American colonies were diverse but became united in declaring independence from England. My original "American" ancestor came here in 1668 before there was an America. He was an Englishman who became a Virginian.
