Rehabilitation is a rare and beautiful thing - and here is an actual success story. And I’m scrolling through comments and some people are actually ANGRY about this? Shaming the guy? Seriously???

Totally agree!! There’s so much stigma/prejudice surrounding incarceration - I think largely due to our justice systems being designed to dehumanize and punish rather than to reform or help people. At the end of the day, that hurts us ALL.

Well, he looks happy to be expanding beyond fried baloney, stale bread, spinach jello and hard-boiled eggs. Maybe he'll even get to heat up the oatmeal, too. Seriously, though, hope it works out.

That’s more of what you’d find in state prison and local county jails. Some federal prisons actually have a culinary program and allow inmates to make changes and improvise the menu with what’s available to them.
