Running it into the ground?????? Who approved the terrible jokes in The Last Jedi? Who’s idea was it for Luke to “brush his shoulder off”?

Interesting that the analysis has moved beyond "lines of dialogue" to look at "interactions." Number of dialogue lines is a misleading indicator for 'importance' in a lot of stories, especially in the medium of film. Screen time and interactions are far more important.

Sadly, it seems the focus hasn't been to tell a Star Wars story, but to tell a story set in the Star Wars universe. Eg. Rose Tico is interesting and compelling, but the rest of the new franchise characters are still mostly cardboard cutouts in a cardboard world.

The women aren’t the problem. It’s the feminist ideology: https://thinkoutsidepolitics.com/2017/12/21/star-wars-the-last-interesting-character/ …

Ladies and gentlemen, it is individuals who run the Star Wars universe. Gender is not important, individual talent and desire is all that matters
