        They’ve had unions forever: United Steelworkers and United Mineworkers. But the #GOP and (disgustingly) corporate “third-way” Dems have spent the last 40 years doing everything possible to denigrate, destroy and neuter unions. They’ve largely succeeded.

        Sorry, I guess my snark meter was turned down. The challenges for unions today are indeed daunting, but that doesn't mean defeat. Unions in other western countries still wield considerable power. Most advances of the 20th Century came from unions; those are GOP kill targets.
