I think most people have noticed by now that their perfectly functioning iPhones begin to fade in speed and battery life right after a major update and just before a new iPhone release.

I thought people already knew this was unofficially a thing. How else are they going to get people to upgrade regularly.

I can’t stand this but Samsung does it as well. Makes logical sense. However I’m sure they have an ulterior motive of course

Apple have become complacent with their loyal customers.they have started to assume that the brand out weighs the functionality. If more revelations keep damaging the brand the customers will start to leave.more reasearch into alternative batteries needed.

And that's not the only way Apple encourages (in effect compels) people to buy new #iPhones: often 'older' iPhones can't be updated with the latest operating system and WITHOUT the latest operating system many (maybe essential) apps won't work. More regulatory oversight needed.
