Opinion: "This is a very subtle way to increase taxes on the lower and middle classes and then use those revenues to pay for a massive tax cut for corporations," a law professor tells @Edsallhttp://nyti.ms/2BIbNvt

With the ACA 6.5 Million people paid $3 billion in penalties because they could not afford the Affordable Care Act. (2016 data from the IRS) Democrats taxed the poor. #sad

The 'subtlety' escapes me. It is, in fact, brazenly larcenous. Assuming the GOP are not all stupid, the only rational explanation is that they have all been bought. Citizens United is doing exactly what was intended.

But... Mr Trump is a multiple adulterer, admitted groper, and his transparent lies have been a legend for over 30 years in New York, long before he sought office.

Of course. What else would you expect from the predatory NYT? Find an anti Trump voice and run with it. Slanderous? Bogus? Why should that matter? After all it comes from NYT. It must be true. NOT!

A subtle way? Really? That’s pretty much exactly what 70% of Americans think it is, a simple huge give away to @gop donors payed for by the middle class. The scary thing is that they clearly think it wont make a difference in the midterms..
