Where are those "wage gap is a myth" guys at? Nothing? Silence?

Right here. A couple headlines does not make a statistically backed up fact.

I'm a nurse. Here's an article about the notable wage gap found in my profession.https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/03/24/stubborn-pay-gap-is-found-in-nursing/?mtrref=www.google.com&gwh=EEB368D3181A1D8DCB25CC6C685E406C&gwt=pay …

Pay is determined by more than just the job title. Hours worked, as well as time at a job. If you just take an average across blindly without acknowledging these points, you always get a gap. Because men generally work more hours and take less time off.

I'm guessing you didn't read the article. This is a pervasive issue in my profession that goes beyond specialties and facilities, as evidenced by the data. Most female nurses I know work overtime. I'd like you to tell me why my male counterparts make a higher salary.

I probably one upped you, I even read the study the piece is based on & it doesn’t make mention to those statistics. People working for the same time, same qualifications and same position across the USA make the same regardless of gender and in many areas women make more.

Right, so you are confirming that you did not read the article, because if you had, you'd know that male nurses working in the same exact specialty make about $6,000 per year than their female counterparts. This is across every specialty and even includes nurse practitioners.

Oh man, you’re thick. Yes. But the job title is not the only factor in pay. For the third time.
