I dropped my subscription early in the NYT effort to damage Hillary Clinton. This putrid Glenn Thrush decision, along with continuing to employ Maggie Haberman, means I continue my successful campaign to get people to cancel their subscriptions and switch to the Washington Post.

Co-sign.
@washingtonpost is indispensable, as is@guardian Canceled@nytimes after YEARS! Their shitty coverage of HRC was so obvious. They obviously don't care about their role in installing Trump. Ugh!!! -
co-sign the co-sign!!!
#DumptheNYT!!! -
I’ve not cancelled the Times b/c it is the only readable paper in my hometown and has good coverage of local matters. But I read WaPo almost exclusively for political coverage and analysis.

Says the man who who replaced the only female ever to be the executive editor of the
@nytimes. -
Well, Mr. Jacobs. She was.... (clutches pearls) "brusque."
-
As a lawyer in a high-powered law firm. I was “rigid & inflexible” or “stubborn” while men are principled & strong. I was “too pretty to be taken seriously as a lawyer” while other women were “unpresentable” to clients. /1
-
I had a few guys make passes at me & back off when I demurred. Those incidents didn’t upset me as much as the stuff in the prior tweet. /2
-
But it would have been VERY upsetting if one of those guys had spread false rumors about me being the aggressor, as Thrush is alleged to have done. /3

You really have to wonder about the Times’ culture, both in the workplace and in its coverage.

Just a quick reminder: the
@washingtonpost breaks stories about sexual harassers. The@nytimes meal-mouths why they keep them on payroll.
Another day, another reason they will NEVER earn my re-subscription.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/943594375376003072 … -
NYT hardly breaks stories anymore. They’re banking on their illustrious stable of columnists. But even the WP is competitive in that arena.
-
Seems the only thing they do these days is write think pieces about Neo-Naxis.

You are wrong. Thrush abused his power, harmed women, and harmed women's careers. You've now told the women who work for you that you won't care if they're sexually assaulted by a man at work & you've cast the NYT as NOT the paper-of-record for any article about sexual assault.
-
Where is any empathy for the women Thrush harmed?Where is any concern for the stories women may not have written cuz men like Thrush abused them & whispered about them & prevented them from getting other jobs, other opportunities? I'm disgusted you're welcoming a predator back in.

I respect their decision and believe every situation should be decided on merit, like Sen. Franken's WASN'T. Go ahead, hate on me all ya want.
-
If they had come back and said 'after thorough review we have decided that Glenn Thrush will be terminated"... I'd be okay with that too.
-
Never question authority
-
Well that's silly.
-
Is that not what you’re saying?
-
Not even close.
-
But you’d be happy with the results of their investigation no matter what
-
I'm grateful they did a thorough investigation and made a decision based on the merits of the situation. You are free to question everything all the time.
