        This is unfortunate. He is a new, fresh voice worth hearing. I used to respect Cornel West. Increasingly disillusioned lately. With the emergence of each new African-American thought leader, West has made it his mission to discredit them. Raises the spectre of petty jealousy.

        Mr. Coates has seemed to me to be a person with restraint, with a sort of build-up so to speak, until letting loose with fact based opinion. It may be in keeping with his dignified anger that he has left the Twitter platform at this time.
