Former Marine & deported are 2 phrases that shouldn’t go in the same sentence.

You’re right. It would probably be for the best if our military was made up of citizens.

Just waiting for some citizens to actually step up to the plate rather than shitpost on Twitter. But in the interim, people that aren't will make that sacrifice, because they're more American than you and @realDonaldTrump that 'just happened to be born here'.

Any criminologist or psychologist will tell you animal cruelty means human cruelty. He will repeat his offenses and they will get worse. If he wants his family with him let them go live with him.

The fact that he was not worthy to be a US Marine is no surprise. He should find work pretty easily among the gangs where he has lived these many years.

"...the first time a veteran deported for a criminal conviction has been allowed back into the United States. “I’m excited, and I feel good,” said Mr. Chavez, 45, who has lived in Tijuana since being deported after serving time for animal cruelty. " ANIMAL CRUELTY!

Animal cruelty is definitely an issue; but (generally speaking) why aren’t service members granted automatic citizenship? It’s like saying they are good enough to fight for this country but not to live in it.

Non-citizen vet deported 15 years ago for maiming a dog, was allowed back into the states by Jerry Brown (even though he doesn’t intend to stay in Ca) because he misses his family, but not quite enough to move them to Mexico to join him these last 15 years...did I get it all?
