The altitude is called "the death zone" for good reason. After strenuously training and saving, hundreds have died trying to scale Mount Everest. http://nyti.ms/2BbkG3L pic.twitter.com/SY98W9BaJe

Will admit that climbing a mountain is not on my bucket list. It's challenging enough to stay alive at sea level. #lifegoalfail

Not on mine either! Lingering post concussion syndrome with tinnitus, some vertigo, nausea...I prefer upright on the ground, & quiet spaces!

They will...resting, walking...picking my spots for any droning sounds...such as Santa's sleigh runners skidding across the roof! Yikes!

Not only is it called the “Death Zone”, but climbers have to ascend past the dead bodies, of people who never made it to the summit, frozen in ice, unable to be taken down for memorial.

It costs THOUSANDS of dollars to put together a climbing team. That’s conspicuous consumption on steroids. And it could kill you. I just don’t get it.

It has often occurred to me that airliners often cruise at around 30,000 feet. Imagine if one, at that altitude, passed DIRECTLY over the summit of Mt. Everest! It would just barely clear it! Staggering, its height!
