"1)They made Luke god ex machina and a comedy marvel star wars. The premise that the man who had chosen not to strike down the most evil Sith the world had ever known ever considered killing his sister’s only child was outrageous. 2) “Star Wars” is a Skywalker story." Tea.

Exactly! It’s about The Skywalker Saga. Luke would of never killed Vader. Vader was the “Chosen One” and the movie depicts Ben Solo as a strength he never saw yeah right lol

Kids who didn't grow up with Star Wars don't have the same attachment to it, and people who grew up on Star Wars need to admit to themselves that they're not kids anymore so, seeing yet another CGI battle isn't really an adult pleasure.

THIS! I saw the original Star Wars in the theatre when I was a kid. Loved it. Had all the figures. Now that I'm adult I find it ridiculous.

Really wasn't a good film, disjointed and odd. My kids kept going "wait what!" and "how come?". Perhaps for critics it was a case of Emperors New Clothes and the power of Disney. Rogue One and Force Awakens were good films. Even prefered all the prequals. NO BLASTERS! NO.....

Admiral Ackbar was rendered a complete nobody by Disney. There are few actors of substance. Just twenty-somethings

It's an amazing for so many reasons. Pretty much every hardcore fan I know loved it. Most fans that hate it just weren't ready for such a smart, complex and well written Star Wars film but most will get it after a few viewings I'm sure.

I really dont get why its so hard for you to see. When even in the script they are erasing things. Letting go. The old has to die. I believe Kylo Ren used a Frozen saying "let it go" (disney) &Yoda burnt down that tree. Disney wants to start over

Not to mention. Straight from the beginning when bombs dropped from the ship onto First orders ship...was stupid...they are in space lol...how did they drop? Id like to imagine they were magnetic. But id like to imagine it was a good movie too. It wasn't.

the plot holes, the slapstick comedy trying too hard, Kylo Ren shirtless, Luke deserving a better story...

Lucas used a lot of humor in the originals + the Indiana Jones movies. That did not bother me.

I still feel like the originals were able to capture a larger audience. There was childish humor and mature humor... the only mature humor in this film was the ultra awkward shirtless kylo ren scene
