I’m not sure why intelligent Women spend so much time exposing rampant sexual harassment and encouraging one other with their stories of survival under the #MeToo  hashtag when they have Matt Damon to explain it to them (biting sarcasm)... https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/943136605715468288 …pic.twitter.com/BontRf0CNA

I actually agree with Damon, not every incident of sexual harassment is the same. Where is the opportunity for redemption? In this current climate it’s guilty until proven innocent; that’s not right either. Men must be part of the solution. It starts with a dialogue.

Sensible comments like these from women will help ebb the fever pitch hysteria of this issue. Sexual harassment is awful, and disgusting. Violent sexual crimes are horrific and terrifying.

“You know, there’s a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right?” he told Peter Travers of ABC. “Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated, right?”

Mr. Damon is right. It's common sense. In no world are forcible rape and an unwelcome advance or minor touch "equally hurtful". I've survived both. Abuse of power is always wrong and brutality is inexcusable.

Men cannot have an opinion on an issue that concerns them? Agree or shut up? This crusade goes too far. What started as reasonable and timely has become hysterical and tiresome.

We ARE on the same page. Abusers and victims can be any gender. Sexual harassment's not a woman's issue. No more than racism is a strictly black issue. Morals and ethics are universal. The Media is causing unrest again... Or call it #terrorism

I am so sick of hearing about "abuse". Most of it is so over the top stupid it makes women look ridiculous. You know in most cases men are in charge, keep bring this shit up and women will end up not being hired for jobs and completely overlooked due to the possibility of charges

What made you so bitter? Who are you to say the cases of abuse make women ridiculous? Have a little more empathy. Listen to your fellow women. & YES, “in most cases men are in charge” which is why abuse/harassment is so hard to report!
