Agreed, but the thought of *having* to rely on a conductor to slow the train down by 2/3 in order to literally not derail and kill people, that's absurd. I'd never trust someone in that position, people are too dumb and too distracted to be 100% relied on.

Let’s not blame @Amtrak trains for speed. Other nations have bullet trains with insane speed. The outdated infrastructure is to blame here. Never forget @GOP voting against it in 2016

Speed limit?! I guess it wasn’t a bullet train! Did you see those trains? Must be 20 years old at least, sad when you’ve take trains in places like Switzerland and Japan. Third world rail system in US. Sad

The train accident that just occurred in DuPont, WA shows more than ever why our soon to be submitted infrastructure plan must be approved quickly. Seven trillion dollars spent in the Middle East while our roads, bridges, tunnels, railways (and more) crumble! Not for long!

There you go. So it is the 'Speed' which is the Primary Major cause. But Authorities & Politicians would continue to remain in 'denial' & would give all 'other' excuses, when it comes to Speed being the cause. This is a Worldwide issue.
