In the last record of him alive, Goutam Ghosh stared into his camera in the “the death zone” of Mount Everest. The thought of him lost somewhere up the mountain haunted his family. A year after he was left behind, an expedition set out to find his body. http://nyti.ms/2kgmVIi pic.twitter.com/fD5uv2IEMz

Climbing #Everest is like a risky run to the outlet mall. It's just a big business junket for rich people & the guides aren't paid well enough. Who cares if mid-life crisis rich people die up there? #BadChoices

This man was one of four Bengalis that had a dream to climb the mountain and saved up a lot of money for this. Read up on it on The NY Times site

This is the most incredibly well written detailed story of their journey. Very moving It made me feel like I was right there with all of them. Wow brave daring adventure. I could never attempt anything like this.

This is really disturbing. I’ve read way too many mountaineering books about the horrific deaths of climbers. The worst of which has to be in The White Spider. A book that stays with you forever. Poor Toni Kurz full of life, at 23 died a very cruel death. I raise my glass to you.

This isn't news. You have a lower chance of death if you are black and then murder someone and then go through the US legal system. Going up Everest is like playing Russian Roulette. #iamnotbothered 😎
