The tax code has long offered rewards for buying rather than renting, an equation that the Republican bill upendshttp://nyti.ms/2Bkw89W

Congress has had it good, too good says the tax bill. Because they no longer represent us, they represent their donors. #TaxScamBillpic.twitter.com/XBXfuCfeaZ

The Real Estate Business is huge driver for the economy. The middle income & lo income folks will be shut out. Big for investors who own rental property. Losers: banks, mortgage, city/state taxes, lumber, plumbing, electrical, appliances, paint, roofing, developers, construction

They want fewer property owners so they can rent to the vast majority of us and use the pass through income breaks to avoid taxes. Pillaging the public coffers. It’s what the Republicans do.

I actually agree with this ONE aspect of GOP tax scam. Owning your own home should be incentive enough to buy. No need to penalize renters who can't afford to buy, or folks like me who don't want the hassle and commitment of owning.

If dems introduced an identical bill, @nytimes would be claiming the bill eliminates a subsidy for the wealthy that was always out of reach for the poor. "journalism"

Where’s your evidence? Where’s your premise? Are you just saying that because you like to justify things in your echo chamber? This tax bill will hurt millions of families across the country. Corporations will be able to deduct State/Local taxes yet individuals can’t. It’s a scam

Nytimes isn't covering this tax raise nearly enough. Nytimes isn't pressing GOP officials or Golding them accountable. Ny times is perfectly content just covering if the GOP wins something. No matter the havoc wreaked on Americans #taxscambill

I see the logic, but they should phase it out instead of doing it in one swoop, and they should also be eliminating special deductions for businesses. We need to focus on a more sustainable way of living, both with debt & consumption.

Calling this a "subsidy" whn it only allows ppl to retain what thy EARNED is wrng. Everyone is not equal in education, earnings, work ethic, aspirations or ability & it's not right to penalize thm eithr. Does this tax effect us? No, we own our house but this credit dsnt effect us
