The tax bill on the cusp of being passed by Congress is not the grand simplification of the code that the GOP promisedhttp://nyti.ms/2AFdlVM

The code remains the same so it’s not a reform. It’s a tax cut

It seems that the GOP isn’t interested in simplifying the code, only in lower the taxes of the wealthy. Only bad bills require rushed and hushed passage. Can’t even wait for Alabama’s newly elected Senator.

No one actually wants it to be simplified. People love their tax deductions on mortgage interest etc. Interestingly enough, they were recently debating that in Congress.

Duh. If it were actually tax reform they’d still be debating it. You don’t fix something like in a month with only one party on board. Just another taking point to keep the Trump Chumps playing along.

Maybe if the "failing NY Times" criticized the lack of bipartisanship by "Crocodile" Chuck and Nancy "Send her out to pasture" Pelosi for not allowing true reform, maybe something would get done. But of course not part of your agenda.

Republicans have a majority so don't need democrat votes. No democrat would enact 1.5 t of which 40% goes to the richest 0.1% or republican donors being reimbursed for their bribes
