I'm a liberal but just being fact-based I fear the bill's popularity will grow over the coming yr...why? 75% of filers get a cut. People in high SALT areas face a hike (mostly blue states, >100k income) while those who did std deduction get a 1k to 4k cuthttps://twitter.com/ernietedeschi/status/941873564663341056 …

        Henry added,

        Ernie Tedeschi @ernietedeschi
In terms of tax cuts: in 2019, the major provisions of the conference bill cut taxes for about 75% of filers, or 132 million. That's around 11 million more than the House bill and 3.5 million more than the Senate. pic.twitter.com/MQTAcRQuvQ

Reality is business cuts are not the bulk of the bill (0.3T of the 1.5T). Individual cuts are and they are broad other than for upper middle-class high SALT folks who get f'd but unfortunately live in blue states Many will through less withholding c a 3k larger paycheck in 18'

Naturally those who pay more absolute dollars will benefit the most. Bottom half of their country doesn't pay any federal income tax to begin with, the tax bill will increase that group

These GOP members of congress should be put on blast on every major news site. A picture of them along with how much money they are making off of their tax bill. It's absolutely appalling.

Wow, really! Did you read the entire Tax Bill? Are you a Senator? It was just released yesterday. They say there isn’t enough time for anyone to read it all before the vote on Tuesday. No CBO score. We’re just supposed to take your word for it?

If we the people would spend our money in other places besides Amazon or Walmart, and supported local business, perhaps we would not be so concerned with a few. More people would have more.

we are not a democracy but a plutocratic oligarchy disguised as a democracy in order to fool the gullible ignorant bigoted people. America is becoming a 3rd world oligarchical junta which controls a poor population without a middle class: Eisenhower’s industrial military complex

The NYT is now a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party falsely discrediting the tax cut bill for the MIDDLE CLASS AND SMALL BUSINESES. The NYT is going as far as providing the names and telephones of GOP Senators asking the leftists to call and object to the tax bill!

The ancient Roman Republic had this problem (creation of a huge wage gap), and it led to the republic's downfall and the rise of an empire. We are witnessing plutocracy being propagated as popularism.
