Let us not confuse moral high ground with instant answers Gillibrand tried to sell Franken’s forced resignation a “moral high ground”. It wasn’t. It was a non-solution based on opportunism, self-service & political ambition. Franken & the accusers have been deprived of fairness

Moral high ground is never associated with opportunism or political ambition. And we all have been deprived of doing the vital work of democracy – having hard discussions grappling with distinctions and boundaries and context Gillibrand had done us all a huge disservice

I’d love to see her go after Trump with even half the intensity she went after Franken. That’d be swell. 👍🏼

It sure would. So odd how Trump tweets at her and now she’s a hero? Who stood to gain in this fire Franken situation? Somethings not right.

Oh yeah, she’s a total opportunist. Her going after Franken like that was 100% because he was emerging as a possible presidential candidate for 2020. I hate to think of not voting for the Democrats in 2020, but if it’s her I will definitely not be voting for her.
