Though almost no one practices it anymore, Catholicism still has a hold in Italian culture. And Catholicism is built on misogyny and male entitlement. Italian women have a tough go.

It's more than catholicism. It's a patriacalism more antique, I must say. Of course religion doesn't help

I've been the Italy, the pizza's not that good. They don't have any Buffalo chicken pizza, no Hawaiian, no Philly cheese steak, just the real basic stuff.

Sorry I was just joking, but I wanna give you an advice: do not talk with Italian people about Italian food, we're very sensitive about that topic

So, you’re blaming the victims for this horrible inexcusable male behavior? Because, they want to “look hot?” NO. Means NO. Have you read Selma Hyick’s letter? THAT was shocking.

Okay thank you for a better explanation. As someone who lived in Italy, I didn’t see this. However, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t or should be happening. I was also still a child, but my mother loved the country and the people.

Actually I don't think it's a matter of religion. The majority of Americans is catholic too. The real problem is the influence that the Roman Church has always had in Italy, which is quite different.
