Lived in Belgium 4 4 yrs. their major autoroutes took getting use to, I found them great to drive at night. No blind spots. Seemed like daytime. lamps diffusers were not as bright as ours yet provided better visibility especially in the frequent fog & rain

Actually it's a lot less than it used to be. Lights in the south go out between 0.30 and 5 am. The lights around Brussels stay on as is major intersection of roads.
