Don't trust just one review? We rounded up what critics are saying about "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (and porgs)http://nyti.ms/2nYEm4C

I have seen plenty of films with Black men and Asian women that are horrible. Totally unwatchable and terribly acted. Like really really bad. That said, it's a horrible way to use race and eugenics to review a movie or an actor's performance.
-
lol please look up "eugenics"
-
"Eugenics is a set of beliefs and practices that aims at improving the genetic quality of a human population." In this instance the critic was praising the genetic quality of the cast (population), not their performance.
-
1) how do you not see that misused the word, 2) there is plenty to praise in efforts at increasing on screen diversity
-
No, I used the word intentionally. The critic was too concerned with the optics of improving the onscreen genetics, rather than seeing the actors as artists I am interested in diversity of quality and ideas, not diversity of genetics. You obviously don't watch foreign films.
-
By that critic's rationale, Turkish Star Wars (1982) is an encouraging and representative film because it contains a cast with more distinct genetic makeup than s/he assumes the viewer expects. Either way, the movie is terrible regardless of their genetics.pic.twitter.com/wN1FZFef1g

i'm pretty sure he's not claiming that it is the Last Jedi's diversity alone that makes it a good film. but keep up with your weird mental gymnastics to justify your psueudo-academic white supremacy. it's fun to watch.
