Salma Hayek escribe sobre Harvey Weinstein en @nytopinion:
“No a que un amigo suyo, desnudo, me diera un masaje.
No a dejarlo que me hiciera sexo oral.
No a desnudarme junto con otra mujer.
No, no, no, no, no…” http://nyti.ms/2AjERru

Salma Hayek's harrowing story of her efforts to produce "Frida" would never have come out without the
#MeToo
movement. How sad that in order to get Frida's story told she had to compromise, then hide her own story. Weinstein is a monster. -
Have to wonder now how many people were pressured into including unnecessary nude scenes in films etc at the whims of TPTB, just to get a project made
-
I wonder, too. I have a feeling the stories will come out and they'll be sickening, both in content and degree. The last thing we want to do is shame the whistleblowers. It takes courage to tell such personal stories, but they need to remember the blame lies fully on Harvey.

Salma told Jada Pinkett Smith to get naked in a music video that she directed. The line is often crossed for me in the entertainment industry with nudity, language, and violence.
-
Some much needed context, to avoid any false equivalency between (1) Weinstein using threats & intimidation to force Hayek to perform a nude sex scene in Frida, and (2) Hayek convincing her friend Pinkett Smith to appear nude in a video to raise awareness re human trafficking.pic.twitter.com/lXsGuF94MB

Thank you for the context.

As the saying goes..."why is it now that you come forward?" Why? Oh because maybe get money out of it? Hell its been months since the first came forward
-
Salma's husband is worth 27 billion
-
Salma Hayak is worth $7 Billion. She seems to be doing just fine.
-
Lmfao awkwardddd.
-
Not awkward at all you people proved my point...if her and her husband were $$$ powerful...why now? Honestly. They covered it up for YEARS. Their cowards then for going along to get along...they allowed how many other women be subjected to his depravity?
-
I feel like anyone who is STILL asking that seriously tired question doesn't actually want to learn. Because this line of reasoning is debunked, like, hourly.

Everyone needs to read this. She had an extreme set of circumstances, but her experience is sadly a universal story of the constant compromises women have to make to participate in life and work.

Yes. We are saying “no” to the crap they’ve chosen to do to us. They consciously made the choice to be abusive and it needs to stop.

Selma Hayek’s story was one of the most well written, most painful experience of harassment I've ever read.It clearly summed up the anger combined with the overwhelming need for approval from the predator.I feel so much empathy for all she went through but applaud her for sharing

And, that's how you do it. You say "No. No. No." and you fight for your picture. Respect to all of the women and men who took the risk of saying "No".
-
How about the ones that did not have the wherewithal to say no? Condemn them? No. They are victims as well.
-
We all have the wherewithal to say "No". It doesn't make it easy but then that's the point. May we all find the strength to do what we believe is right, and the strength to endure what we must.
-
And seriously? Endure what we must? No, no, no. No one must endure Sexual assault/harassment. No one. If any one man thinks I will endure such an attempt he better be ready to endure me yanking his balls off with my bare hands. Endure that.
